how do I get my yahoo mail to forward to Outlook on my home computer?

I recently bought a new computer and all new MS Office Suite software. On my old computer I used to read my yahoo mail through MS Outlook. I have tried to set up my e-mail the same way on my new computer by using the Outlook E-mail wizard, but have been unsuccessful in doing so. Any tips on how to do this would be much appreciated.

Adding Your Yahoo! Account

1 Open Microsoft Outlook, click "File" and choose "Add Account" from the "Info" tab.
2 Click "Manually Configure Server Settings or Additional Server Types" and then click "Next."
3 Choose "Internet Email" and click "Next."
4 Enter your name in the "Your Name" field as you want it to appear on the emails you send.
5 Type your Yahoo! email address into the "Email Address" field.
6 Select "POP3" from the "Account Type" drop-down menu.
7 Enter "pop.mail.yahoo.com" in the Incoming Mail Server field.

Allow Outlooks to Send Emails Using Your Yahoo! Account

1 Enter "smtp.mail.yahoo.com" into the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) field.
2 Type your Yahoo! username again in the "User Name" field.
3 Type your Yahoo! account password in the "Password" field.
4 Check the "Remember Password" box if you choose to not type your password when Outlook checks your Yahoo! account. This is not as secure, but if you use a password on your computer then this extra step might be unnecessary.
5 Click "More Settings" and the click on the "Outgoing Server" tab.
6 Check the box "My Outgoing Server (SMTP) Requires Authentication" and then select "Use

If this is the first time you~re doing this, you’ll need to go to your Yahoo mail account settings and choose enable pop3/imap email or you won’t be able to use it on your Outlook.
Yahoo mail help is amazing because it provides all information (with screens) that you need to setup it as pop3/imap on the main email client applications (outlook, outlook express, eudora, etc.).

How do I move my Yahoo Mail custom folders to Outlook (Mail plus)?

I recently set-up mail plus so I can use outlook on my MAC. I’d like to move my custom folders to Outlook. Is there an easy way?

You can setup your email account on Outlook as an imap account, i.e., it~s like a virtual email, you can see, read, delete your email but it~s not on your outlook, it’s still on your web server, so you can see it from inside outlook and from a web page.
Setting up your email as Imap brings this benefit, you’ll be able to see your custom folders as if they’re part of you Outlook mailbox.
To confirm this option, go to Yahoo mail help and choose pop3 and/or Imap.

Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook?

Hi I am trying to start Microsoft Office Outlook and I am getting an error message telling me to quit outlook and any other mail applications and then use the inbox repair tool (Scanpst.exe) but I am not sure what to do I am on vista and have tried using system restore and run on the program but neither has been successful can anybody help?

try the ever safe solution: uninstall it and install it again. If it still doesn’t work, I suggest you go to the Microsoft website and see if they have a solution. (You’d be surprised)

How to set up an outlook mail on macbook pro?

I already have an outlook mail address but I’m not sure how to add it?
I’m not sure what to put in certain fields such as, "incoming mail server" and "outgoing mail server" like what the hell?

Are you sure you have an Outlook email address or are you using the Outlook email software? The "incoming mail server" and "outgoing mail server" details will have been given to you when you set up the email account so that you can pick up and send email.

How to st up yahoo mail in Microsoft Outlook 2007?

I have set up yahoo mail in MS Outlook-2007, because outlook is more comfortable for me then internet explorer. I Can send out going mail using outlook 2007 but can’t deliver inbox (incoming) mail. how I can set up in box deliver mail also in outlook?? I have professional windows 7 operating system in laptop.

I’m not sure what country you are working from. In places like the United States, you need to upgrade your free Yahoo Mail account to a Yahoo Mail Plus or Yahoo Business Mail account before all this will work.

What I suggest is that you go to the webpage listed below to start. If you are in the US, you will need to follow the steps to upgrade to Yahoo Mail Plus. If not, try skipping that at first. Then follow the rest of the steps on the page and see if everything works ok.

If all your settings match those shown on the page and this still doesn’t work, you will probably need to go back to the beginning and upgrade to Yahoo Mail Plus. That should get everything working.

I am trying to set up my yahoo mail on microsoft outlook, and it has my email and password but every time I go on to it a thing pops up and says "Enter Network Password" it has the network address my email name and the stars for my password but when i click ok it pops up again and doesnt want to update it to what i have on my internet email….please help!!1

The reason you have the error above is because you need the paid subscribton Yahoo Plus to send/receive with Outlook. Read the help information after you click on the link below,

In Outlook on the menu bar > Click Tools > Accounts > Highlight your email address > Upper above Click Repair button. This will take a few minutes or more to finish.
