I recently set up a Mail.com account and need to sync it with outlook. I ended my email address with @workmail.com but I do not know why it doesn’t work with outlook. Does anyone know the information that i could put into the Outlook set-up to make it work. Any help is appreciated.

You need to find out whether mail.com supports POP or IMAP for retrieving your mail. If it does you’ll need the appropriate settings such as server name etc. Just entering your own @workmail.com address won’t work on it’s own.

Can I just set up outlook, import the excel contacts into outlook, do the mail merge and then stop using outlook? I want to keep my other emails with sbcglobal online mailbox.

Setting up Outlook doesn’t stop you from keeping your mails online as well. You just need to remember during set-up to go to Tools > Account Settings > Change > More Settings > Advanced tab > check box to say "Leave a copy of messages on the server".

Mail Merge in Outlook?

JJ asked a question about this. MB gave an answer which did not work out for JJ. Now I am having the same problem with a new installation of Outlook 2003 and I cannot find ‘letters and mailings’ either. MB must have been thinking of Tools in Word not in Outlook when he gave that answer. I did use Mail Merge in Outlook at my firm for years, also with Outlook 2003 and it worked. It was not very straightforward: you had to import a list of names and addresses from Excel, import the text from Word, both with all kinds of provisos and little tricks that you had to be very careful not to miss. But now I cannot even find the Mail Merge folder in Outlook 2003. Do you have to buy that separately from Microsoft or is it included in Outlook 2003 and so well hidden that neither JJ nor I could find it?

You need to be in your contacts folder for the option to appear in tools.

Make JJ pay you 5 bucks for finding the answer.

I am trying to merge contacts from Outlook to labels in MS Word. I have set up the merge fields and have put in on the labels following the first. The merge is working, but only on the one page, the document is not continuing on to subsequent pages, thus I am only able to make 4 labels at a time. I need to merge about 2000 addresses and am at my wits end. is there something I need to put in the last label to make more pages open when I do the merge. Please help.

When i set up the merge document I selected Labels and I chose the labels I intend to use (Avery 5168).

Choose ‘lables’ when you start instead of letters (envelopes).

Open your Word document, click Mailings, click Start Mail Merge, select Letters, Email Messages, or Envelopes, click Select Recipients, Select from Outlook Contacts, etc.

Need to mail merge between Outlook 2003 and Word 2007?

My company updated Microsoft to 2007, except Outlook. Outlook is 2003 and I need to set up a mail merge for a large Sale email blast.

Its better that you invest in an autoresponder to do your promotional e-mail blast……depending upon how many addressess you have …don’t think Outlook Express would be capable of doing what your considering.

Please help.

I need to send an email to a number of clients with a PDF attachment. Each of them have to go separately. The Database with all their names and email addresses is an Excel file. Is it possible to send a mail merge with the attachment to each of these people individually (getting their address from MS-Excel)? And if yes, can you give me some easy guidelines? If not, whats the best alternative? Thanks.

PS: I use Windows XP. I want to send the email via Microsoft Outlook. I use Microsoft Office 2007 Programs.
