How do I restore a replaced .pst file?
January 27th, 2010 | by admin |I accidentally replaced my .pst file on my outlook 2003 with a backup from someone elses outlook and now all my emails are gone. They are all very very important and i need them back as soon as possible. Does anyone know if there is anyway i can possibly get these emails restored to my email. I tried a system restore that didnt work, I also tried the inbox repair tool. . . . . that didnt work either. I feel so stupid for doing this I really need some help.
If you mean that you renamed your friends pst file the same as your old pst file in the same folder, and it was replaced, then you can try an undelete program (free ones on the internet, just google "free undelete".) the quicker you do this, the better the chances of finding it as it won’t be overwritten.
If you just asked outlook to use your friends pst file instead of your old one, then you just have to get outlook to point back to your old pst file.
