How do I change my default e-mail (editor) from being microsoft outlook?
December 28th, 2009 | by admin |When I go to any web-site and click on the link to e-mail something microsoft outlook automatically pops up for me to send it through. Microsoft outlook is not sending the e-mails out. how do I change it where it doesn’t go through microsoft outlook but through my yahoo account or something else?
You will have to make Yahoo the default mail client on Internet Explorer.
Yahoo doesn’t normally show up on the "programs" list (as directed by Nana above), cause it’s web based mail and not actually installed on your computer.
The old solution of installing messenger, no longer works, either.
This link from Yahoo gives specific instructions on the "latest" steps to take in order to make Yahoo the default mail client.
You will be required to downloading their "newest" toolbar, which is necessary to place Yahoo on the list, so you can select it.
