    Regrettably I work …
    Regrettably I work for a major University, so I get to search through both the University’s spam folder (which I have ZERO control over) -AND- Outlook’s spam folder.

    Also, to Terminatrix: Software Magician’s email is “opt-in.” You choose to recieve it – It’s informational and has content; it’s not just a “OMG ANOTHER 20% OFF SALE” or “BIGGER WEINER?” email.

    There’s very few “list” emails I care to read. I tend to that list very carefully.

    Nobody likes …
    Nobody likes unsolicited email, SPAM. But everyone wants to know how to separate it from email they DO want.

    They go searching for answers just like you did because it was entertaining and useful. Thanks.

    You can give great information without spamming using the “Optin” process, as I do, where readers give you permission (name and email) in exchange for genuine, valuable tips and advice. But they should ALWAYS be allowed to opt-out whenever they want.
