How can I send an email to multiple recipients in outlook while only showing one email address on the to line.
April 24th, 2010 | by admin |I know how to do it as a mail merge, but is there a way just using your contacts in outlook so that it goes to a list but only shows the address in the to line of the person who is receiving that email.
It is called BCC or Blind Carbon Copy. Send it to yourself on the TO line and then add everybody to the BCC so no one can see but your addy on the top.

Put your own email address in the ‘to’ line- then put all the desired recipients in the ‘Bcc’ line – that way each of them will only see it as being addressed to yourself and them. Bcc stands for ‘blind carbon copy’.

One easy solution: Send your message to one person–when I need to do this, I use myself as the primary recipient–then copy all your other desired recipients into the BCC line. (This means ‘blind copy’–no one, including the original recipient, can see who got a copy; only the sender knows.) This is a good way to keep other folks’ email addresses confidential, when they have asked that you do so.
