Why can’t I access my work e-mail on my iPhone when my laptop is running Outlook mail?
January 29th, 2010 | by admin |They both work perfectly fine alone. When my computer is running Outlook I get all mail, when my computer is shut down my iPhone populates incoming mail. However, when they are both running my Outlook mail is only updated. Any suggestions on how I can fix this so that my mail populates both??
This is an email server setting. What happens is that your email server is not setup to keep a copy of the message in your server so once Outlook downloads the message, it removes it from the email server before the iPhone has a chance to download it.
This is very common with POP accounts. The easiest way for this is to contact your server admin and see if your account can be setup as an IMAP account where it keeps a copy of your messages on the server.
