make sure you put http://www. in front of the site and it will automatically turn blue.

Right click the link you want to insert in your answer…(copy) and then place your cursor into the answer box here and right click again, select Paste. You can also (Ctrl-c) for copying and (Ctrl-v) to paste …voila. I usually highlight the address that is in the address bar of the browser and use the ctrl/c-v steps, unless the link I want to use is within a document on the page…in that case I use the right click technique only.
If the highlighting doesn’t show up when you preview your answer, you need to ensure you have the full address including http://www. preceding the rest of the address of the link.

you want someone to go to a specific website
then you would add the
http:// in front of the web address the www. is not needed
example/shameless plug
http://cognigen.net/cellular/?cger

to post a clickable link in an answer providing the link is relevant. you simply add http:// before you type the full web address.
so if you wanted a link to yahoo.com and you wanted it clickable type:
http://www.yahoo.com
the link is now clickable. and can be navigated to easily.
though posting irrelevant links can get your account suspended or barred if you are not careful.
so no posting links for the sake of posting links or to promote your own website. doing so could cause yahoo to close your account.
they appear blue by default!

right click in the address bar of your web-browser and select "copy"
wherever you then "paste" will drop the web-link of the address that you copied – after you "paste" press the space bar and the link should go ‘live’ and appear in blue
