How do I stop outlook express opening when I click an email link in a website?

February 5th, 2010 | by admin |

I have email with aol and I continually have to copy and paste the email address from the website, although I would rather just click on the link then have an aol login tab open in the web browser.

It could eb possible to have it do this but the reason that outlooks express opens is because it is set as your default email client. You can set up outlook express to interact with your aol account ex.send and receive mail with it. Although I would use thunderbird, as it is a much better program than outlook and can be set up easier.

can you set aol email program as a default email application?
in the internet options > programs tab > email – click the down arrow, do you have aol email application here?
because i don’t know much about aol email program, never used it
if you go to control panel > add/remove > add/remove windows components > disable or unchecked the box for outlook express > next and finish.
